Kosher

Backsberg Kosher Brut Cap Classique 2018

This Kosher bubbly is a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay produced by the Backsberg Family in South Africa's first carbon-neutral winery. Lively and fresh, with notes of ripe apple, cherry blossom, and brioche, this wine is an homage to the Backsberg family's Jewish heritage, produced under the auspices of the Cape Town Beth Din and the Orthodox Union of the U.S. Mevushal and Kosher for Passover.

Vinprom-Troyan Troyanska Slivovitz Plum Brandy

Aged for 4 years in barrel, this full-bodied, traditional plum brandy from one of Europe’s largest distillers offers notes of fruit and sweet baking spices, with a rich, smooth finish. Incredibly versatile, slivovitz works well as an aperitif or after-dinner sipper, however it can also add depth and complexity to cocktails such as the sidecar or cosmopolitan. Kosher for Passover.

Red

Domaine l’Ecu Love & Grapes ‘Trinity’ 2022

From its captivating label — inspired by a mosaic at the famed Wedding Tower of Darmstadt, Germany — to the very last sip, this lively and bright blend of Grenache and Cinsault offers juicy black and red fruit on the nose with hints of spice, thyme, and rosemary. On the palate, snappy redcurrants and cherries come forward, buoyed by delicate tannins and fine balance. This wine is beautiful, yet unfussy. Perfect for special celebrations and everyday gatherings alike.

Il Ciliegio Barolo 2019

Produced with sustainably farmed Nebbiolo grown on the famed hill of Boschetti hill, which is home to Cascina Boschetti, and overlooks the village of Barolo, this wine is a new classic. Full-bodied, and reddish-garnet in the glass, the wine opens with a burst of violets and cherry blossoms on the nose, intertwined with notes of leather, tobacco, and raspberry jam. On the palate, the wine is silky and smooth, dry and complex, perfect for rich meat dishes, truffles, or ravioli with duck.

Rose & Orange

Chateau Trians Provence Rose 2023

This blend of Grenache, Cinsault, and Syrah from an historic 18th-century estate in Provence is a taste of spring in a glass. Bright and fresh, yet dry, with notes of pomegranate, red berries, lilac, rose and even a bit of pink grapefruit, it’s an excellent partner for sunny days, poultry, and summery salads.

GRW Kisi Qvevri Dry Amber Wine 2020

This dry, orange sipper is produced from Kisi, a grape varietal indigenous to Georgia. Made from sustainably farmed grapes fermented and aged in the traditional qvevri clay vessels, the wine is full-bodied and complex, with a rich texture and notes of dried apricot, honey, and spice. The finish is long and lingering, with a pleasant acidity and a hint of minerality.

Sparkling

Annesanti Raspato Rosato 2022

This pet-nat rose oozes charm. A blend of biodynamically farmed 80% Sangiovese and 20% Aleatico, from the charismatic Francesco Annesanti, it opens with fun and fruity notes of cherry, fresh cranberries, and freshly baked biscuit. On the palate, the wine is crisp, clean, and balanced, offering an explosion of flavor, with savory herbs backing the snappy fruit. The colorful bottles feature Mekano closures made from reclaimed plastic and one of three adorable drawings featuring neighbors hanging around, sharing the raspato, or local gossip.

Vincent Cuiller ‘l’Arbre’ Blanc de Noirs Brut Nature 2019

The wines of Vincent Cuillier serve as yet another reminder that Champagne is among the world’s most dynamic wine regions. This entry, made from 100% Pinot Meunier, is about pride of place for Vincent. Produced from grapes grown on his family estate’s most historic parcels, where he first explored viticulture and vitiforestry, the wine offers depth and complexity with every sip. On the nose, subtle pear, white pepper, and beautiful minerality. Bottled with no dosage, the palate is magical, lush, yet lean, with power and grace.

White

Los Bermejos Malvasía Volcánica Seco 2023

This textured, crisp and mineral white is produced from Malvasía Volcánica, a grape that is truly indigenous to the Canary Islands and its unique terroir. A volcanic explosion that lasted from 1730-1736 covered the entire island in lava and ash 3-5 meters deep. The volcanic ashes (also called “picon”) that cover the topsoil help retain water and protect the delicate vines from the scorching sun. This entry, from winemaker Ignacio Valdera, is fascinatingly crisp and bright, with lush floral notes and hints of white peach and Asian pear on the palate, backed by a mouthwatering, salty finish.

Palazzo Wine Napa Valley Cuvee Blanc 2017

This elegant white — chiefly Semillon with about 2% Sauvignon Blanc — offers an explosion of lushness and flavor. On the nose, white peach, pear, and hints of tropical fruit backed by orange blossom. Rich and opulent on the palate, the wine is textured and full bodied, with excellent balance, freshness, and exceptional minerality. Try this one decanted and lightly chilled with fish or shellfish, roast pork, or classic roast chicken.
