Custom made for CNI Brands in the highlands of Jalisco, Destilladora Bonanza makes this craft spirit with the utmost care for the land and with an eye towards innovation. Libelula was designed to make the best margarita imaginable by synthesizing the long standing traditions of the region with bold new ideas of a small craft distillery just starting out. A blend of 80% tequila blanco, cooked in autoclaves and distilled in continuous column stills and 20% reposado, which is cooked in brick ovens and distilled in copper pot stills. This unique blend creates lovely texture and imbues the tequila with well integrated notes of spice and earth. Perfect for sipping solo or for making the best darn margarita you’ve ever had.

Destiladora Bonanza, a small distillery, is a labor of love propelled by the creativity of the youngest generation, Jesús, Juan Pablo and Rodrigo López and anchored by matriarch, Carmen Villarreal Trevino. They work alongside local farmers to grow and harvest the Blue Agave and make the tequila by hand in small batches. While it may not be the most effective, they prioritize quality over tools of mass production. They believe tequila should honor the agave and its environment, free of additives or sweeteners. The agaves raised there are as good as gold. High above sea level the seasonal climate and rich, red soil produce a plant that’s naturally sweet with an incredible flavor. They also donate a portion of Libélula Tequila’s proceeds to Water.org to help families around the world get access to safe water and sanitation.
