'Irisi' Amber Wine 2024

750ml

Sale price$22.50

This lively orange wine from Georgia is a blend of three indigenous grapes — Kisi, Khikhvi, and Mtsvane — which are aged in Qvervi for a year, using techniques that have been passed down through generations for thousands of years. After settling in the bottle for a minimum of three months, the resulting wine boasts yellow fruit and wildflower aromas that follow through on the palate with mouthwatering acidity and freshness. Best enjoyed alongside Middle Eastern fare, eggplant dishes, and seafood.

Anapea Village

Husband-and-wife team, Khatia Darguashvili and Gocha Tskitishvili started Anapea Village and their winemaking journey in 2013. They planted vineyards and built a winery in the east of Georgia, on land previously used by the Soviet authorities in the 20th century, with the hopes of rehabilitating the traditions of Georgian grape growing and winemaking. With a focus on organic farming and indigenous varietals, Anapea Village delivers clean, concentrated, and balanced wines.
