750ml

Sale price$21.00

*Originally Featured In Our Wine Club*

This charming and cozy red is produced from 100% Aleatico, also known as Vernaccia Rossa di Pergola, a native varietal dating back to 1234, the year Eugubini founded the city of Pergola. Aromatic and elegant, there are notes of rose, cherry, pomegranate and red peppercorn on the nose. On the palate, the wine is dry and lifted, the perfect blend of smooth, soft, and savory. This wine will elevate any mushroom dish, fish soup, and even homemade charcuterie boards.

Fattoria Villa Ligi

The Tonelli family has been part of the Marche winemaking tradition since the early 20th century. In 1912, Antonio Tonelli, grandfather of current owner and winemaker Francesco Tonelli, began to make wine from the rows of vines he had planted down the middle of corn fields in Pergola, as was the custom in those days. The tradition continued and grew, and the family soon became known for their outstanding wines. Today, Francesco works with his son, Stefano, to produce wines of integrity, capable of telling the story of the land with complete honesty. To quote Francesco, “we follow nature’s timescales, rejecting standardization, with a passion for out land, the people who work with us and nature itself.”
