Domaine La Berangeraie

Tu Bois Coa Cot du Lot Rose 2023

Plush and soft, with fruity notes of strawberry, raspberry and black cherry, this easygoing rose asks a simple question — “do you drink Malbec?” The only answer is yes; this is summer in a glass, a perfect partner for BBQ, pan-roasted salmon, and a host of cheeses. Sustainable.

Domaine La Berangeraie

Domaine La Berangeraie is a true family-run vineyard. In 1971 André Berenger came to Cahors from Provence with his wife Sylvie, who is originally from Champagne, and planted their vineyard near a ruined winery in Grézels, on the red clay/iron stone soil known as Grèzes. Today, this award-winning certified sustainable estate is managed by their children Maurin & Juline, as well as their respective partners, who also studied winemaking and viticulture. The family tends the 35 hectare domaine themselves. Pruning, the sustainable farming of the vineyards, and harvesting are all done by hand; a disappearing practice in Cahors where harvesting is now almost exclusively performed by machine.
