*September Producer Spotlight*

Made from 40-year-old vines grown in clay and rocky soils in Uco Valley, this Torrontes is hand-harvested and macerated on the skins for 48 hours. Fermented with indigenous yeast and aged in concrete eggs for six months, the result is a crisp and refreshing white wine with inviting aromas of citrus and white florals. The palate is awash with bright notes of stonefruit, grapefruit zest, tropical fruits, and slight minerality. Enjoy it on its own as an aperitif or alongside spicy fare, seafood, and mild cheeses. Practicing organic.

Matias Riccitelli

Matías Riccitelli was born in Cafayate, Salta, a village in northern Argentina. After traveling the world through multiple harvests, gaining experience and anecdotes, he decided to blend everything he learned throughout his career with the teachings of his mentor and father, Jorge Riccitelli. Thus, in 2009, Riccitelli Wines was born. The winery is in Las Compuertas, the highest area of Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza with their vineyards situated in the region’s best terroirs.
In 2015, Matías and his team brought “Riccitelli Patagonia” to life, along the banks of the Río Negro, with the aim of revitalizing forgotten grape varietals and old vineyards that withstand the test of time. In this region, they farm 17 hectares that were planted in the 1950s, focusing on several cool-climate varietals such as Pinot Noir, Bastardo, and Semillon.
