Sale price$44.00

Named for a road that near the owner and winemaker's Arianna Occhipinti's estate near Sicily's southeaster coast, this biodynamic white is a blend of Zibibbo & Albanello, two grapes native to the region, grown in red, sandy soils over limestone rock. Aged in concrete tanks and bottled unfiltered, the wine showcases intriguing minerality, along with ripe apples and hints of peach blossom and savory herbs. Pair with braised root vegetables topped with grated Parmesan, oven-roasted sea bass.

Arianna Occhipinti

Arianna Occhipinti is a seminal figure for the latest generation of wine lovers. Her rise to prominence has been meteoric, and rightfully so: anyone who has ever met Ari will instantly vouch for amazing talent and boundless energy. At 16, She fell in love with winemaking in her uncle’s Giusto Occhipinti's cellar. He was the owner of COS, one of Sicily’s most famous wineries, and her inspiration to study oenology and jump right into her own production. Years later, her wines have garnered international acclaim from critics and consumers alike. She works sustainably in certified organic vineyards, and her philosophy is as simple and elegant as her wines: "Respect wine as if it were a person. A person who carries with him a world, a story, an atmosphere. And he knows about the land from which he was born."
