Distenta III White 2021

750ml

Sale price$320.00

An extraordinary blend of 33% Chardonnay, 27% Viognier, 24% Gelber Muskateller, 12% Roussanne, and the rest Petit Manseng, this white wine from Sine Qua Non showcases their dedication to producing exemplary wines. With a goal of striving “to understand Mother Nature’s often oblique ways and (re)act accordingly so that we may create wines that express all that Nature has so generously given us,” this wine reflects that in every sip. Aged in 53% new oak and kept on the lees for roughly 23 months, this full-bodied white wine offers delicious aromas of stone fruits, toasted brioche, citrus zest, slight florals, and hints of baking spice. While the palate is rich and creamy, with notes of peach, apricot, lemon, and roasted almond with a long, mineral-driven finish. This wine is fantastic shared with loved ones alongside creamy pastas, seafood dishes, or roasted poultry.

Sine Qua Non

Sine Qua Non wines were born out of pure passion and a wishful dream — to make something that is so distinctive and so delicious as to make it indispensable to wine lovers all over the world. A rather lofty, even unrealistic notion, Elaine and Manfred Krankl still decided to pursue it anyway. What started as a hobby, has become not only their full-time occupation, but their whole life. While they’re a Rhone house at heart, with Syrah and Grenache taking center stage supported by Mourvedre, Roussanne, and Viognier, they also grow non-Rhone-origin grapes like Petit Manseng, Touriga Nacional, Graciano, and Petite Sirah. Their goal is to understand Mother Nature’s often oblique ways, (re)act accordingly, and showcase everything California has to offer in every glass of their wines.
