Rocamadre Malbec 2023
750ml
Produced by husband-and-wife team Juanfa Suarez and Cecilia Duran, Rocamadre delivers this red wine made from 25-year-old Malbec vines grown in the foothills of the Andes Mountains in stony soil with calcium carbonate within the subregion of Paraje Altamira. Fermented naturally with some whole clusters, then aged for 12 months in old barrels, the wine reflects its terroir in every sip. Fresh notes of black cherry, dark fruits, slight violets, and baking spices awash the palate with a long finish. Light enough to take a chill, this wine pairs well with blue cheese burgers, roasted mushrooms and peppers, and beef empanadas. The label features an original numbered series of art works that were printed by artist Fábrica de Estampas. Low intervention.
Staff Pick: "A fantastic wine as we transition from summer to autumn. Give it a chill before going to the park, or cozy up with a glass and a book. Notes of dark fruits and baking spices." -- Kiah
