Produced by husband-and-wife team Juanfa Suarez and Cecilia Duran, Rocamadre delivers this white wine made from 25-year-old Chardonnay vines grown in the foothills of the Andes Mountains in stony soil with calcium carbonate within the subregion of Paraje Altamira. Fermented naturally with slight skin-contact for 7-10 days, this wine is aged half in concrete and half in oak for 12 months and bottled unfiltered. Mineral-driven, this Chardonnay offers notes of ripe citrus, white peach, crisp acidity, and remarkable salinity. With a powerful and long finish, this wine pairs fantastically with mushroom risotto, shrimp scampi, and grilled chicken salads. The label features an original numbered series of art works that were printed by artist Fábrica de Estampas. Low intervention.

Rocamadre

Rocamadre was founded in the foothills of the Andes Mountains at 3,600ft above sea level in the region of Paraje Altamira, which has a continental climate, bright sunlight, mineral-rich soils and scarce rain -- a perfect environment for growing vines. Helmed by 4th generation winemaker Juanfa Suarez with his partner, Cecilia Duran, the winery practices sustainable farming and winemaking with indigenous yeast. They rely on Andean meltwater to irrigate their crops.
