Leo Erazo is the winemaker of Revolver, a project that supports small, family growers in the much lauded Valle del Itata. This is classic Itata Pais, from granitic/volcanic soils, influenced by the coolness of the Pacific. Made in concrete from native yeasts, and very lightly filtered, this elegant red opens with aromas of red cherry, raspberries, fennel seed and smoke. The palate offers more juicy red berries, dusty tannins and feathery acidity and a long, pleasantly earthy finish. Incredibly versatile, it’s a great wine for entertaining, holiday fare, and more.

Leo Erazo is the winemaker of Revolver, a project that supports small, family growers in the much lauded Itata subregion of Guarilihue. Guarilihue is known for its old bush vines, its proximity to the Pacific Ocean, and its decomposed granite which is almost identical to Morgon. Much of the grapes from this area are often sold at inexpensive prices and blended into bulk wines. Leo was motivated to elevate some of his favorite growers and pay them better prices so they can continue to operate their vineyards and incentivize them to continue to farm organically. Leo’s home and winery are located atop a cliff in Cobquecura overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
