Legally, rye needs to be comprised of merely 51% rye to bare the name. Redemption, on the other hand, goes nearly all in, containing 95% rye, brazenly embracing its namesake grain. The result is a spicy, in-your-face style whiskey that can easily stand on its own. In a cocktail, it adds a nice kick that would be absent with a lesser, more meek whiskey.
