Overlooking Melbourne’s beaches across to the city, Point Ormond is everything that’s exciting about Australian wine today: delicious, high acid, versatile, bursting with personality, and sometimes quirky. Sourced from a single vineyard 15 year old block of Shiraz vines in Grampians, the grapes are destemmed and crushed before being aged in neutral French oak barrels for 8-12 months. Plush and velvety, this red offers cascades of dark cherry plum and spicy fruit notes with fine tannins. A wine for all occasions, it pairs fantastically with a bacon burger, barbecued pork, and pizza.
