Considered by many as the jewel in crown of Port wine production, Vintage Port is a BIG DEAL. It is the only kind of Port that ages in bottle. Produced from the grapes harvested during a single year and bottled 2-3 years after the vintage, it develops gradually for 10-50 years. Most Port producers only declare a vintage year very rarely, on average three times per decade, according to Forbes. 

This entry, from one of the last family owned and operated Port houses in Portugal, has an intense nose of bramble fruit, together with dried fruit, very floral notes of violets, earth, peppercorn, dark chocolate, spice and a touch of graphite. In the glass, the wine the color of deep ruby with a dark purple rim. Full-bodied with brilliant acidity and tannins that are ripe and supple on the finish. This wine is delicious today and will age spectacularly. LIMITED QUANITITY.
