The 2021 Rosso di Montalcino is bold and ripe, reflecting the excellent vintage in Tuscany. Made from 100% Sangiovese, the wine is filled with wild black and red berries, sour cherries, thorny underbrush, forest floor, and a delicately spicy finish. The nose is fruity and inviting, while the palate over-delivers on freshness and a long, balanced finish. Pasta with mushroom duxelles and shrimp with salmoriglio couldn’t ask for a better partner. Cantina di Montalcino is the only cooperative winery that operates in Montalcino. It counts 94 small estates that collectively farm 160 hectares of vines. Those small dimensions ensure pinpoint, boutique farming across the board.
