Lias Finas Albarino 2024

750ml

Sale price$33.75

Inspired by its role in Greek mythology and its connection with Cibeles (goddess of Nature), Attis guides the steps of the winery. Attis is the consequence of the Fariña family’s deep admiration and respect for the vineyard and its terroir. This Albarino is their flagship wine that carries the reins of the family project. This traditional Albarino wine, true to its varietal character, combines freshness and complexity thanks to an ageing process on the lees and the contribution of a short stay in oak foudres. A brilliant yellow in the glass, this wine is full of complex aromas of ripe peach, apricot, white florals, and minerality that leads to a powerful and round palate. A wine with a lot of personality, it is fantastic alongside fish, seafood, creamy cheeses, and everything you can imagine.

Attis

“Tu Tienes Que Ser Un Poco Loco.” Everybody knows the meaning. “You need to be little crazy sometimes to reach success and fulfill your dreams.” Robustiano Fariña must have seemed more than a little crazy to the eyes of his father and neighbors in 2000 when he decided that the Fariñas should stop selling grapes to other producers and produce their own wines. The rest is history, or rather, Attis.

Located in the famed region of Rías Baixas, near the town of Meaño, Attis is the wine quest of two brothers, Robustiano and Baldomero Fariña with a shared mission to elevate winemaking in Rias Baixas and the possibilities of its chief varietals, including albarino, bringing out every nuance of flavor and aroma gifted to them by the terroir, the climate, and the Atlantic Ocean. In 2011, the estate switched to organic viticulture with the help of French winemaker Jean-François Hébrard.
