This medium-bodied 100% Garnacha hails from rocky, high-altitude vineyards in Tudelilla, on the southeastern slope of the Sierra la Hez mountain range, an area known for producing some of the best Garnacha in Spain. The 60-year-old, dry farmed vines were de-stemmed and naturally fermented in concrete tanks before being racked into 600-liter demi-muid barrels for one year before bottling. This is a Garnacha at its best, balancing finesse and power, with lushly floral aromas and notes of red currant, cherry, wild strawberry and red currant on the lightly textured palate. This is a gorgeous option for poultry, pork, and even seafood.
