Folk Machine Arroyo Seco Gamay Rose 2025
750ml
This is the ninth vintage of this elegantly crushable rosé from Gamay grapes grown from a grafting and planting project that started back in 2013 in Arroyo Seco. The sustainably farmed grapes were taken directly to press after harvest with just a minimal amount of skin contact time and fermented “low and slow” that is, in a cool, temperature controlled environment to preserve aromatics and flavors. The result is a fresh, semi-savory, light wine that is perfect for warm weather.
Continuing their mission and pledge to cut down Hobo Wine Company’s carbon footprint, winemaker Kenny Likitprakong broke with convention and bottled this year’s rosé in a lightweight antique green bottle instead of the heavier flint bottles that the market has grown accustomed to. Green bottles contain a much higher percentage of recycled material and their production has a lower carbon footprint. The label was created by artist Nate Duval.
