Domaine Belle Crozes-Hermitage Blanc Terres Blanche 2024

750ml

Sale price$38.00

Domaine Belle's Les Terres Blanches emerges from the rare kaolin soils of Larnage — white limestone-clay that lends an almost electric salinity and stony minerality to everything it touches — and the wine announces this terroir immediately, opening with an aromatic register of white peach, acacia blossom, and toasted hazelnut that speaks to the Marsanne's richness and the Roussanne's more ethereal, herbal lift. On the palate, it carries the tropicality one expects from the Northern Rhône — ripe quince, candied ginger, beeswax — but tempered by a tensile, Sancerre-like acidity that keeps the wine taut and focused. The finish is long and mineral, with that signature kaolin salinity pulling everything into a clean, lapidary close — a white of real presence and genuine aging potential.

Domaine Belle

Rooted in the Rhône Valley since the 18th century, Domaine Belle is a family estate whose story stretches across generations and terroir. What began as modest land parcels granted to villagers in 1769 gradually grew into a celebrated winery, formally established in 1990 when Philippe Belle returned from oenology studies and joined his father Albert to build a modern winery that would honor the character of their land. Today, under Philippe's stewardship, the Domaine spans 25 hectares across six communes and three appellations — Crozes-Hermitage, Hermitage, and Saint Joseph — with its heart in the distinctive white clay soils of Larnage, known locally as Les Terres Blanches. With the fourth generation already showing a passion for winemaking, Domaine Belle remains as committed as ever to crafting wines that express the singular identity of their terroir.
