Stuyvesant Champagne

B. Stuyvesant Brut Rose NV

  • POC Maker

Salmon-colored, dry, and elegant, this Champagne is one of the flagship offerings of B. Stuyvesant Champagne, founded by Marvina Robinson, one of Brooklyn's own and one of the few Black women to head a Champagne label. Produced at a vineyard in the Marne, the base wine is a blend of about 58% Pinot Noir, 22% Pinot Meunier and 20% Chardonnay. Hints of cherry blossom and raspberry on the nose give way to fleshy red currant and cherries on the palate, with a long and refreshing finish. Who needs a reason? Each sip is a celebration in itself.

Stuyvesant Champagne

Marvina Robinson’s love affair with Champagne began during her college days. She and her friends would often pool their limited funds to purchase a bottle from a local shop not far from her childhood home in Brooklyn's Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood. They would toast and proudly sip out of their plastic cups.

The cups may have changed, but Marvina’s love for the juice continued. After working in finance for some years, she launched the critically acclaimed B. Stuyvesant Champagne, becoming one of the first African American women to do so. Marvina's accomplishments and zest for life has captured the imagination of the press and consumers. In 2022, she opened a tasting room in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, where she holds events and tastings.
