Domaine Reniteo
In Latin, reniteo means “to shine again,” or “to be reborn." How apt for a winery that is all about celebrating the Cote Roannaise, a tiny appellation in the upper Loire. Founded in 2021 by David Michelis, who trained with Yves Cuilleron in the northern Rhone, the estate stretches across just 9 hectares of stunning, mineral-rich volcanic soils, which yield bold, spicy, and exceptional wines using Gamay Saint-Romain and Gamay de Bouze from two plots located on the Plateau des Grands Villards, a windy hilltop 1650 feet above sea level.
