Attis
“Tu Tienes Que Ser Un Poco Loco.” Everybody knows the meaning. “You need to be little crazy sometimes to reach success and fulfill your dreams.” Robustiano Fariña must have seemed more than a little crazy to the eyes of his father and neighbors in 2000 when he decided his family eyes when he decided that the Fariñas should stop selling grapes to other producers and produce their own wines. The rest is history, or rather, Attis.
Located in the famed region of Rías Baixas, near the town of Meaño, Attis is the wine quest of two brothers, Robustiano and Baldomero Fariña with a shared mission to elevate winemaking in Rias Baixas and the possibilities of its chief varietals, including albarino, bringing out every nuance of flavor and aroma gifted to them by the terroir, the climate, and the Atlantic Ocean. In 2011, the estate switched to organic viticulture with the help of French winemaker Jean-François Hébrard.
