Chad Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2019

Oregon wineries that are known for their quality Pinot Noir can command upwards of $40 for their wines and still sell out quickly. However, a slowdown in demand for wines at a premium price point meant that many wineries were faced with the prospect of eroding their price point or having to sell their juice on the bulk market. Into this picture steps a man named Chad Alexander, who realized an opportunity to pay the growers more than bulk price but still be able to offer these wines at great value—half off what the wineries charge for the same wine. This medium-bodied red is like a bowl of ripe cherries with stony, earthy underpinnings.
