This is a groovy red if there ever was one — made from 100% organic Pineau d’Aunis from the vineyards Dominique Norguet in Thoré-la-Rochette in the Loir-et-Cher department of the Loire. Anne-Cecile Jadaud is the winemaker, and the results of her meticulous attention to detail and craft can be tasted in every sip of this wine, which offers notes of brambly red fruit, watermelon, white pepper, and crushed red flowers. This wine is smooth and even a bit spicy on the palate, with supple tannins and plenty of verve. Try this one with roast duck, Thai food, or charcuterie.
