Black Button Distilling

Black Button Distilling founder Jason Barrett grew up helping out in the family button factory in Rochester, NY, and expected to carry on that tradition—until he realized he was color blind. In honor of the black buttons he would have made had he inherited the factory, and the entrepreneurial spirit of his family, Black Button Distilling was born. Black Button is Rochester's first grain-to-glass distillery since the end of prohibition, and they do it all with locally-sourced ingredients, and the same attention to quality that made the Barrett family's buttons world-famous.
