Fewer than 2,000 bottles of this complex and layered Nebbiolo were produced by landmark Barbaresco producer Giuseppe Nada. This Riserva is produced in only the best years, and is made from the best fruit on the oldest vines of Nada’s Casot and Marcarini vineyards. Nuanced and delicate, with a smooth, velvety attack, luscious fruit and hints of savory herbs that carry through to the lengthy finish. This wine is textured and fresh, easy to drink now with classic osso buco, lasagna, or roast meats, or cellar for up to 12 years.

Giuseppe Nada

Giuseppe Nada is one of those winemakers —from a family with roots as deep as any vine on their tiny organic farm, located on a hillside in Treiso. Critics and collectors have chased these wines for decades, and with good reason. They’re not cult faves, yet almost universally critically acclaimed—content to stay below the radar and skip the fanfare of being the “It” wine in favor of producing singular and unforgettable expressions of Northern Italy. Founded in 1900, the winery was one of the first local producers to bottle wines in Albeisa bottles, the traditional bottle from Alba. Known for their excellent and fiercely traditional winemaking, the estate is today managed by Giuseppe, his wife Nella, and children Barbara and Enrico.
