When a local Oregon winery went out of business, sommelier, winemaker, and restauranteur André Mack scooped up a few barrels of Pinot Noir that still needed bottling, referring to it as "O.P.P," or "other people’s pinot." Over the years, the tongue-in-cheek label became the flagship of Maison Noir. The 2022 vintage of this red is classic, French-inflected Willamette Valley Pinot Noir. Soft and earthy, with soft floral, herb-framed flavors of wild cherry with gingery wood spice. Try this one with herb-crusted salmon, grilled steak, or even pizza.
