For more than 200 years, Mastroberardino has held a proud place in Italy’s viticultural history as a guardian of Campania’s indigenous varietals. This legacy can be tasted in this dry, easygoing white. Produced from 100% Falanghina grown on one of the area's most iconic estates, just about 50 km inland from Naples, the wine opens with notes of ripe tropical fruit, citrus blossoms, and peach, it’s the perfect accompaniment to spring and summer fare.

Mastroberardino
As one of Italy’s top winemaking estates, Mastroberardino holds a proud place in Italy’s viticultural history as a guardian of native grapes of Campania. The family has not just worked to maintain them but has also successfully turned almost extinct grapes into internationally acclaimed varietals. Starting in the mid-18th century, the family established itself in the town of Atripalda in the mountains of the Southern Apennines, about 50 km from Naples. In 1878, Angelo Mastroberardino, great-grandfather of the estate’s current president, Piero Mastroberardino, started exporting the family wines, first to Europe, then North America, and the rest of the globe. Antonio Mastroberardino, Piero’s father, well known as “the archaeologist of vine and wine,” was the architect of the replanting program that paved the way for the relaunch of Irpinia viticulture after WWII. The Mastroberardino legacy continues today after more than 10 generations, with more than 260 hectares of sustainably farmed vineyards on 17 wine estates in Irpinia, in the southern Apennines.
