Domaine Denizot
Helmed by Thibauld Denizot, with his partner Jennifer, Domaine Denizot is a relatively young estate that has a reputation that speaks as much to their respect for tradition as their desire for innovation. Located in Verdigny, the estate extends across just over 20 hectares of vines in Sancerre and Pouilly Fume, and ranks among the region’s most exciting young producers. The majority of their Sancerre vines (90%) grow on Caillottes— stony, limestone-rich soils. This includes prized plots such as Les Bouffants in Chavignol and Côte de l’Épée in Amigny. The remaining 10% are rooted in Terres Blanches, a Kimmeridgian marl that lends structure and depth to Denizot’s racy, filegreed wines.
