Tximista
“Tximista” (chee-MEES-ta) is the Basque word for “lightning”, which describes the way in which the idea to make this deliciously unique brand of vermouth came about. Produced from organic grapes grown in and around the fishing village of Zarautz, just steps away from the famed Bay of Biscay by Itziar and Onditz Eizagirre of Talai Berri, conversations with New York City-based industry veteran Dave O’Brien inspired the project. The goal was simple, to unite the famously mineral forward, mouthwatering, spicy notes of Spanish vermouth with the boundless charm of Txakoli wine. The result? The first ever vermouth made from 100% Hondarribi varietals.
