Thörle
Founded in the 1500s in the village of Saulheim, at the heart of Rheinhessen, Weingut Thörle is a 19-hectare family estate managed by brothers Christoph and Johannes Thörle across three grand cru vineyards — Saulheimer Hölle, Saulheimer Schlossberg, and Saulheimer Probstey. Soils of calcareous limestone and clay underlie loess topsoils, and the estate has farmed organically since 2022. Riesling, Silvaner, and Spätburgunder are the focus, alongside a handful of French varieties, with vinifications carried out primarily in small French barrels.
