The Oltrepò Pavese—home to this blend of Pinot Noir and Riesling Italico (Welschriesling)—lies in the Province of Pavia. Stretching over 70km south of the River Po, it is a district where food and wine traditions are different from the rest of Lombardia, a result of its the areas proximity to Piemonte and Emilia-Romagna. It’s also the largest wine producing area of Lombardia and the largest one in all Italy for the Pinot Noir.
