Scions of Sinai

In 2016, seventh-generation winemaker Bernhard Bredell established Scions of Sinai, paying homage to Sinai Hill's rich heritage in the Helderberg region. Their name reflects their reverence for the land and their heritage, with "scion" symbolizing the tender shoot of a young vine and the lineage of generations past. Nestled within this historic terrain, Bernhard’s vision is dedicated to honoring the ancient dry-farmed bush vines meticulously tended by generations before him, many of which were planted by his grandfather in the 1970s. Their philosophy focuses on crafting wines of unparalleled purity and authenticity, echoing the essence of the terroir.
