Calvados Roger Groult
The Groult family farm began in the 1700s when the family first settled in the Clos de la Hurvaniere, a beautiful farm located in the hills of the pays d’Auge. In 1860, the family started distilling brandy and Calvados Groult was born. Thanks to his meticulous production methods as well as the magnificent terroir which was offered to him, his Calvados quickly obtained a good reputation. Today, the family’s traditions of excellence and careful stewardship of the land are continued by the great-grandchildren of Pierre, Estelle, Charlotte, and Jean-Roger Groult. The family’s 23 hectares are planted to more than 5,600 apple trees, with 30 varieties of cider apples in use.
