'Rufia' Skin Contact Dao Branco 2023
Located in a region known for mineral-driven reds and sometimes called the “Burgundy of Portugal”, winemaker João Tavares de Pina, of Quinta da Boavista, is extremely proud of his wines. It’s easy to see why with this skin-contact white blend which has, in its fifth vintage, developed a fandom among consumers and professionals alike. A blend of Cerceal Branco, Encruzado. Siria (Roupeiro), Boal (Malvasia Fina), and Bical grown on granitic soils mixed with chamomile, clover, Serra Della and even eucalyptus, the wine offers rich and deep aromas of apricot, peach, almonds, and dried fruits. The palate is medium-bodied with balanced tannins and freshness. Try it with pizza, roasted chicken, and oxtail-stuffed ravioli.
