Ovum Wines
Founded in 2011 by Ksenija and John House, Ovum was built on the belief that Oregon wines should be honest reflections of time and terroir. After years working together at Chehalem Winery in the Willamette Valley, the couple set off to explore Oregon's diverse terroirs through aromatic white varieties. In the cellar, their low-intervention approach means natural fermentations, no additions except SO2, and extended lees contact in neutral barrels and concrete eggs — yielding wines that are textured and mineral-driven, with unwavering acidity. Specializing in Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Early Muscat, and their beloved co-fermentation 'Big Salt', Ovum represents some of the most distinctive white winemaking in the Pacific Northwest today.
