  • Organic

Located on a hilltop in Montefalco at 1300 feet above sea level, the Pipparello vineyard’s vines are a minimum of 20 years old. A blend of 60% Sangiovese, 25% Montepulciano, and 15% Sagrantino, the varietals are harvested in the middle of October and macerated for 40-50 days. The wine spends a year in stainless steel tanks, two years in large oak barrels, and an additional year of bottle-aging. All of this results in a beautiful wine full of mouthwatering red and black fruits, earth and baking spice. Gorgeous now and will get even better over the next 10 years.
