Description

This luscious red wine is made from 100% Cabernet Franc that’s grown in Valle de Parras, one of Mexico’s original wine regions, with vines planted as far back as the early 1500s. A deep ruby red in the glass, the wine opens with aromas of strawberries and raspberries that shift into spicier notes of jalapeño. With soft and smooth tannins on the palate, the wine delivers remarkable notes of red fruits enveloped in cacao with hints of tobacco and crushed stone. It’s the perfect match with a cheese and charcuterie board, classic French cuisine, or roasted lamb with mint sauce.

RGMX

The RG of RGMX refers to the Rivero González family (also the owners of RGNY), which has long been associated with agriculture in the region where they have been producing premium quality organic nuts for generations. Located in Valle de Parras, one of Mexico's original wine regions with vines planted as far back as the early 1500s, the estate's vineyards are planted at an elevation of 5,000 ft on soils of mixed clay sand and silt. The vineyards are managed organically without the use of herbicides or pesticides. The winery is focused on three lines of wines: Vinos de Tierra, Scielo, and RGMX.

RGMX wines are very small-production premium wines where no expense is spared with respect to how the vines are pruned, which grapes are selected, the barrels that are used, and the energy that is put into the wines. These are reference wines in the ultra-premium category of Mexican wines.
