This whiskey is a resurrection of the famous Pennsylvania rye, which originated in Schaefferstown in 1753. Today the company is based further south, on Whiskey Row in downtown Louisville, and operates as a negotiant, sourcing and bottling small batches of less than 10 barrels. This rye is aged for 3 years and strives to replicate the original Michter's spirit, showing notes of apricot, allspice, orange marmalade & almond extract, with clove & black pepper on the finish.
