Akashi “White Oak” Blended Whisky hails from the esteemed Eigashima Shuzo. Shuzo holds Japan's first Whisky license which was issued in 1919, and remains Japan's smallest whisky producer. Akashi “White Oak” is blended in the Scotch tradition, with Japanese precision using malt and grain whiskies. The malt used is lightly peated and vatting is mostly ex-bourbon barrels which impart notes of vanilla, warm spices and toasty cereal. This is a wonderfully soft, lighter style whisky that teases the senses with nuanced flavors and unparalleled craftsmanship.
