It all started in 1841 with Auguste-Denis Lagoute. Located in Dijon, in the heart of Burgundy, Lagoute was keen to invent an innovative liqueur for his distinguished clientele. This led him to develop the first-ever Crème de Cassis, with a smooth texture and powerful aromas of blackcurrant. 

Ever since, Maison Lejay has constantly sought innovation and quality, and is today known globally for its values of authenticity, flavor, sustainability, and tradition.
