It all started in 1841 with Auguste-Denis Lagoute. Located in Dijon, in the heart of Burgundy, Lagoute was keen to invent an innovative liqueur for his distinguished clientele. This led him to develop the first-ever Crème de Cassis, with a smooth texture and powerful aromas of blackcurrant.
