Located in the southeast corner of Islay, Laphroaig is an intense whisky amongst intense whiskies. It explodes with briny seaweed, smoked almonds and iodine and has a reputation for being one of the more peaty whiskies in Scotland. A word of warning: not for the faint of palate.
