Founded in 1780 by John Jameson, who was born in Scotland and moved to Dublin in the late 1770s. He established the way of making Irish whiskey, which they have been proudly following ever since. Four of his sons followed him into distilling in Ireland, setting up a family dynasty that was to last for generations.
