J.L. Chave
The Chave family is based in a small village on the northern right bank of the Rhône. Their grape growing roots on the famous Hermitage hill date back to 1481. Gerard Chave took over from his father in 1970 and rapidly achieved megastar status due to the extraordinary quality of his wines. His meticulous style of winemaking-anchored in traditional farming, super low yields and minimal manipulation-has since been passed from father to son, rendering the purest expressions of Rhône terroir.
