Heyl Zu Herrnsheim
Left of the Rhine, between Mainz and Worms, lays one of Germany’s largest and oldest wine regions, the Rheinhessen. Even the Romans realized the area's potential for viticulture: lots of sunshine, low levels of precipitation, rich soil and valuable red slate slopes. The roots of Heyl zu Herrnsheim can be traced back to 1561, when monks from Worms were searching for suitable locations for their vines.
