Domaine de Coyeux
The origin of the vineyards of Beaumes-de-Venise is very old. Its history dates back to 600 BC, when an ancient Greek community moved into the foothills of the Dentelles de Montmirail. The first vines from the Domaine de Coyeux date back to the 1950s. It is now run by Hugues de Feraudy, whose family was already established as winemakers in Vaucluse in the tenth century. Located on the southern side of the Dentelles de Montmirail, Domaine de Coyeux is comprised of one continuous area of 112 hectares across mineral-rich clay soils, buffeted by the famous mistral winds. Coming from the north, this wind occurs only a few hours after a rainfall, leaving time for the vines to absorb its benefits while naturally minimizing the risks of pests.
