Dominique Piron
The oldest known winemaking ancestor of Dominique Piron was born around 1590 AD in Morgon, under the reign of King Henry III. Between then and now, 14 generations of vignerons have tended the soils in this area of Beaujolais. Morgon is known for its patchwork of soils, which include granite, clay, limestone, schist, silex, and volcanic deposits, all of which lend a unique earthy, mineral-driven flavor to wines.
