Chateau de Leberon

Chateau de Leberon

Château de Léberon is 12-hectare estate in the Ténarèze appellation of Armagnac with roots dating back to the 13th century, to the Hundred Years War. Purchased in 1939 by Osmin Rozès, the estate is now run by fourth-generation grape grower Jean Rozès with his daughters Sophie and Caroline who are reinvigorating the estate, applying organic and biodynamic practices in the vineyard. The old vines of Château de Léberon benefit from its exceptional microterroir: it has its roots plunging into the gritty sand of the alluvial deposits of the River Baïse’s terraces. The vines coming from this land are producing very textured, aromatic fruit, with significant body and richness.
