Caspri & Co. is a new project started in 2021 by winemaker Bertrand Hapsiger, who wished to create the finest possible wines from the best grapes at the best price. Caspri & Co. wines utilize a minimum of 20% organically grown estate fruit from Fattoria di Caspri blended with purchased organic fruit from nearby friends and neighbors. using the same exacting standards that he uses for Fattoria di Caspri, where Hapsiger is the head winemaker. Sustainable production is the name of the game for Caspri & Co.; red wines are vinified in conical wooden tanks where spontaneous fermentation occurs followed by an extended 3-4 week maceration, little or no sulphur is added to finished wines, and some cuvees are available in environmentally conscious packaging such as bag-in-box.
