Bojo do Luar
The Bojo do Luar project came to life while importer Savio Soares was on a trip to Portugal’s Vinho Verde region. There he met Fernando Paiva, a biodynamic producer who has been experimenting with producing wines without sulphur and adding ground chestnut flowers to the grapes and must before fermentation began. Inspired, Savio saw an unique opportunity. He started working with Paiva, and the rest is delectable history. Today, with parcels located near the Tâmega river, in the foothills of the Serra do Marão mountain range, in the southeastern corner of the Vinho Verde region, with deep granitic soils and south-south-western exposure, Bojo do Luar produces innovative natural wines using the traditional autochthonous varietals of Northern Portugal.
